                                                                                             The Heroes Monument of Haiti, also known as the "Monument of the Heroes of Vertières" (Monument des Héros de Vertières), is an important national monument in Haiti. It commemorates the Battle of Vertières, the final and decisive battle of the Haitian Revolution, fought on November 18, 1803. This battle led to Haiti's independence from French colonial rule and the establishment of the first Black republic in the world on January 1, 1804.

The monument is located near Cap-Haïtien, in the northern part of the country. It features a series of statues representing key figures and heroes of the revolution, including Jean-Jacques Dessalines, François Capois (known as Capois-La-Mort), and others who played crucial roles in Haiti's fight for independence.
